Heaven Sent Desserts Restaurant Review: Heaven Sent Desserts satisfies the mid-town sweet tooth. Located in the heart of almost-gentrified North Park, this trendy coffee and dessert spot is a good gathering place for post-Ray At Night art hipsters, George’s Camera photography buffs and well-heeled Kate Ross shoppers. The shop offers chef Tina Luu’s confections, including cakes, cookies and tarts. Also on the menu are sugar-free creations (we prefer the creamy, citrusy mango madness) and fresh-fruit smoothies. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Starbucks, with wood tables and soft music, but thankfully the sweet flavors and artistic presentations that come from the pastry-filled glass cases are not so generic. |
