Herringbone Restaurant Review

: As the majority of Herringbone’s seating is outside, many guests will dine while enjoying views of the ARIA pool --- heaters and misters are ready at hand to alter the temperature as needed. Inside, the lounge features stools at the long bar and also couches, all awash in earth tones of orange, beige and brown. In the kitchen is chef Geno Bernardo, who created the menu. Begin with the marinated grilled baby octopus served atop frisée and lemon preserve, as well as the crab cake poppers crusted with potato chips, composed of lump crab, Old Bay and tomato jam. On the lunch menu, consider the ricotta agnolotti with butternut squash purée, fried sage and ricotta salate. The star of the dinner menu is the pan-seared scallops with risotto, tomato and gremolata. Deep-fried Brussels sprouts with candied pecans and togarashi is a must-try side dish. Complementing the fare are inventive cocktails like Not Your Daddy’s Scotch Drink, made with Laphroaig 10-year, Zaya rum, lemon, cinnamon and pineapple juice; and a long list of bourbon, rye, whiskey and Scotch options. For a sweet ending, try the carrot cake with ginger cream cheese, candied carrot and coconut-pineapple sorbet. Brunch is offered on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and highlights interactive food stations presenting peel and eat shrimp, an ever-changing selection of meats, fresh-picked produce from local farms, and orange ricotta chocolate chip pancakes. The all-you-can-eat package is $59 and an all-you-can-drink package for bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas and Bellinis is an additional $35.
