Longtime Orlandoans will remember Highland Manor as Townsend’s Plantation, then Captain & the Cowboy. Start your meal with baked creamy goat cheese or crispy fried green tomatoes. Entrées range from comfort-food classics, like bacon-wrapped barbecue meatloaf and chicken potpie in a pretzel bread bowl to New Zealand lamb chops with sweet red onion and cranberry confit and lemon-garlic shrimp scampi. Desserts are made fresh daily. The wine list is a work in progress, but there are plenty of good choices to pair with the Southern-inspired cuisine.
