THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Himalaya Restaurant Review: Despite a to-die-for location across from Newbury Street, Himalaya turns out merely decent Indian food with very little to offer beyond the normal tandoori-vindaloo-biryani axis. For the most part, the problems are in the spicing department and the remedies would be more depth and more heat. That said, the saag paneer, the breads, and the mulligatawny soup can all be quite good. The pink-walled room is also remarkably soothing. We wish the food could be so consistent. |
