This Himalayan restaurant with royal blue and white linens, decorative curtains and walls adorned with colorful Himalayan cloths serves a number of regional cuisines. The lunch buffet offers an array of exotic tastings from the dinner menu. For starters, we like the traditional naan and the pappadum---lentil wafers, frequently refilled at the table by the attentive servers---and the dahl soup, lentil soup with Indian spices. Other selections include Himalayan momo, a combination of steamed dumplings filled with ground turkey, vegetables or lamb; vegetable chau chau---Tibetan-style noodles pan-fried with vegetable and spices; chicken curry---a traditional Nepali dish seasoned with a blend of curry spices; and roasted boneless chicken makhani sautéed in spice with cream of tomatoes. Vegans will have an easy time finding dishes to eat here, especially with the vegan sampler, a combination of eight dishes. The dinner menu offers extensive choices of lamb and seafood preparations, as well as more poultry and vegetarian selections, plus traditional appetizers including samosas. Save room for the khir, the Nepalese dessert created with basmati rice cooked in milk with raisins and nuts.
