Honga's Lotus Petal Restaurant Review: Telluride’s food-savvy locals are addicted to Honga’s for its food and rock-bottom prices. Organic free-range meats, freshly flown-in fish and quality produce are the ingredients of this exotic and wholesome menu. And almost all dishes can be made vegetarian. In the front room, Tokyo-trained sushi chef Shige Shibuya shows off his art, while the kitchen delivers curried mussels, pot stickers jazzed up with fennel, Korean mung bean pancakes, and the warm Indonesian salad known as gado gado. It all adds up to a tasty meal accompanied by hot saké, imported beer and wine and an extensive selection of fine teas.
