Horchata Restaurant Review:

When the far superior Umami Burger opened two blocks away, the restaurant group that ran BLT Burger quickly transformed the Sixth Avenue space into this subpar Mexican restaurant. Horchata, boasting a long bar in front and a dining room in back (with obtrusively loud music blaring from the speakers), serves up Mexican fare, sometimes with creative nods. Fish tacos are bland. The pork version is dry. You want salsa on those dry tacos? That will cost $8 extra. Quesadillas end up feeling like a brick in the stomach after consumption. The one bright spot: the sweet stuff. Get the horchata flan or the chocolate-dipped tacos to forget about the disappointing savory side of the menu.
