A light wooden wall is peppered with orange daisies, an enormous metal whisk hangs above and the copper-tiled ceiling is reminiscent of a grandmother’s kitchen. The menu corresponds nicely with the upscale-yet-down-home theme, featuring crowd-pleasing starters such as sweet and spicy chicken tenders, sweet corn tamale cakes and chicken lettuce wraps. Sandwiches include a black bean burger on a whole-wheat bun and spicy hot sauce chicken with blue cheese, while mains include butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and sage, braised short ribs with Parmesan, and steak tacos with chipotle sour cream.
