Hudson's Ribs & Fish Restaurant Review

: Hudson’s Ribs & Fish offers more than its name suggests, but they are the main attraction --- and with good reason. Starters include a butternut squash ravioli with sage brown butter sauce and an ultimate combination platter for two with two jumbo shrimp, four oysters, four clams and king crab legs. But it’s the fall-off-the-bone beef ribs that distinguish Hudson's from the other restaurants along the river. They’re available in single or double rack servings in flavors like honey mustard, cherry mustard or barbecue, and accompanied by fluffy biscuits, strawberry butter, Caesar salad and rice pilaf. Fish and seafood selected from the catches of the day from New York, Boston and Hawaii may yield a cedar-planked salmon crusted with fresh horseradish and Dijon herb seasoning, and roasted garlic-crusted sea scallops with white wine lemon sauce. A number of Italian-inspired dishes are available, too; try the spinach ravioli tossed in a light a la vodka sauce topped with lobster meat. The wine list showcases a comprehensive collection of labels from California, Oregon and Washington, and vineyards from the Hudson River Valley region.
