Hugo's Tacos Restaurant Review

: Hugo's Tacos is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, so you can get everything from a breakfast burrito to green tamales to a salsa burger. But take a look around and you'll see that most people go for the trio of tacos, regardless of the time of day. Walk up to the counter at this little shack and specify soft or crispy shells; then choose your filling (including chicken, steak, grilled fish and soy chorizo); and finally select a salsa, from mild pico de gallo to sizzling salsa arbol. Want dessert? Try the rice pudding, made with organic basmati rice and other quality ingredients. Add a horchata, lemonade or even a slushy crafted with fresh mango or strawberry and you've got a tasty and healthful meal for very little money. Most items can be made vegan and vegetarian, too.

Hugo's Tacos tasted weird
by www.thetacoreview.com on Tue Dec 09, 2008 3:11 pm

I am The Taco Inspector.

First off, to be fair, maybe I shouldn't have been inspecting "organic tacos," since I like regular-tacos...from taco trucks...but oh well.

I loved Hugo's location, but upon arriving they told us no cameras (we were filiming my weekly "Taco Tuesday" program.) Sure, that's their right--but every taco place we go to welcomes us AND our cameras and are happy to have us.

Anyway, on with the review. The tacos tasted weird. They were expensive. The pico de gallo was bland. I gave Hugo's 2 out of 5 sombreros.

You can see the VIDEO review I did at Hugo's at www.thetacoreview.com and judge for yourself!

The Taco Inspector is out!
