Hula Grill Waikiki Restaurant Review: Craving seared peppered ahi eggs Benedict? Maybe you didn't know you were but one look at the lavish breakfast menu at Hula Grill Waikiki will challenge your ability to choose between the aforementioned or one of the three-egg omelets. Or try the "Beach Boy" with imu-roasted Kalua pork, Maui onion and jack cheese. Freshly squeezed juices, house-baked muffins and just-picked tropical fruit are perfect for lighter appetites. Of course, the coffee is outstanding. Dinner finds the focus on seafood. Start with fresh poke tacos or crab and macadamia won tons. Entrées feature some classic offerings with a twist, like grilled fish with li hing mui compote over a tatsoi salad with chili-lime vinaigrette, or coconut seafood chowder combining lobster, shrimp, scallops and local fish with peanuts in a coconut-cilantro-lime broth. Filet Steak Kiana is a Hula Grill take on steak Diane with a shiitake mushroom cream and lilikoi butter. Whatever you choose, be sure to consider a slice of the classic Hula Pie for dessert.
