This destination ice cream parlor for San Francisco foodies features ultra-creamy, quirky flavor combinations in small, artisanal batches. One of the cones is unofficially dubbed “the complete breakfast,” and features one scoop each of Blue Bottle Vietnamese coffee ice cream, so condensed with the famed coffee’s flavor it’s like taking sips instead of licks, and secret breakfast ice cream, a brave and successful combination of bourbon and crispy, caramelized corn flakes. Other favorites include anything with Guinness in the title, balsamic caramel and McEvoy olive oil. The parlor is sleek and streamlined with vintage red barstools, a couple of outdoor tables, and staff willing to offer multiple samples of that day’s featured flavors. Some---such as government cheese and foie gras---probably should be sampled first.
