Icebergs Dining Room & Bar Restaurant Review: Located on the southern end of Bondi Beach, overlooking the rock pool with the ocean stretched out in front of it, Icebergs offers a striking location for a meal. Those that can tear their eyes away from the panorama will notice that the restaurant’s interior has been kept intentionally simple, the décor tinted blue and green and cream to match the waves and sand. It's ultra sleek, with modern and minimalist lines. The food is just as beguiling as the design, reflected in chefs Ben Horne and Damien McCleery’s Italian-leaning menu: oysters, lightly dusted local shrimp, frittata of truffle and Taleggio, risotto verde, and house-made tagliolini with octopus. Even more delights are found among the secondi, which always include whichever whole fish is freshest and best that day at the market. A first-rate selection of various cuts of beef is available from the grill, as is braised pork and other meats. Soft Italian cheeses, cassata, cannoli and other authentic Italian desserts bring a meal to its most appropriate conclusion. That’s unless you choose to stay on and order another bottle from the impressive list of local and international wines.
