Ideal for lunchtime dining, iCi is a sophisticated café in the gourmet destination Le Quartier Français in South Africa's Franschhoek wine valley. Guests have three choices of settings to enjoy their meal---on the streetside terrace, in the bright dining room, or in the garden where nighttime diners might bask in the glow of the outdoor fireplace. Start with Saldanha Bay mussels with curry, orange and coriander before moving on to main dishes such as crispy skin Cape salmon with caper salad and a potato and artichoke ragoût or sugar cured wildebeest with parsley pomme purée, pak choi, ginger and gooseberry chutney. Desserts might include a coconut and lemongrass cheesecake with pawpaw and pineapple salsa. A variety of organic teas and infusions are available, as well as coffee drinks and local wines.
