Il Fornaio Restaurant Review: Part of a small chain of restaurants, the Walnut Creek outpost of Il Fornaio serves straightforward Italian fare in an airy, high-ceilinged space. A generous outdoor patio is the choice seating on warm days; broad umbrellas shade diners from the sun. The restaurant offers monthly menus devoted to regional Italian food---Sicilian one month, the Amalfi coast the next---but there are good options on the standard menu as well, including chicken cooked over a wood-burning rotisserie. This location also has a bakery where you can pick up breads, cakes and cookies. They cater, too. |
