Il Piatto Restaurant Review

: Il Piatto is a popular destination for diners looking for authentic Italian cuisine near the Plaza. Pasta dishes include the plump pumpkin ravioli served with toasted pine nuts and a butter-sage reduction sauce, while the prosciutto-wrapped river trout with sweet corn polenta blends savory and sweet. Those more inclined toward the sweet side won't find a better tiramisu within a ten-mile radius; it’s beautifully presented and a lovely ending to any meal. Some of the entrées don’t fill out the large white piatti (plates), so consider the reasonably priced three-course prix-fixe menu. During the dinner rush, the white-clothed tables are dimly lit, making Il Piatto an enjoyably upscale but unpretentious date-night choice.

This restaurant is simply amazing. It's an unpretentious, cozy little Italian restaurant. The prices are extremely reasonable; the staff is friendly and professional. The food is always superb. The food quality is consistent and they pay close attention to detail. My husband and I sometimes go there just for desert and we are treated no differently than if we were getting a full meal. Dinner for two is always under $100 even with a nice bottle of wine. Lunches there are great too! They offer a three-course menu.
I and many other locals highly recommend this restaurant.
