The tapas craze continues to wax and wane, but Iruna was never in the biz for trendiness' sake in the first place. Tucked away in a space no bigger than some studio apartments, this homey Spaniard seems to take life one day at a time. We're glad for that. We know there will always be soul-warming tortillas, pungent garlic soup, artichokes studded with traditional jamón, asparagus with a coat of mayonnaise sauce, and crab meat pie; the sweeping, garlicky, tomato-ravished flavors of the Basque country pop up repeatedly as well. As Harvard Square hideaways go, this one's a refuge for bashful couples, reclusive artists and señors and señoritas looking for a home away from home.
