THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Jackson & Wheeler Restaurant Review:
Chef Christopher F.M. Greene has taken the reins from former chef Gregory Gilbert at Pleasantville's Jackson & Wheeler. Similarly, the setting has also undergone a complete renovation; the once gray and muted décor now glows with soft lighting that complement the pink tablecloths, and warm beige and cherry wood-toned walls of the dining area. A shimmering cluster of small lights in the center of the room add a measure of playful romance. The cuisine too, has undergone a similar renaissance. The tender St. Louis-style slow-roasted ribs, served with coleslaw and fries, are marinated with a tangy sauce. House-made pappardelle with shrimp and scallops is paired with a rich pesto-garlic cream sauce and shaved Parmesan.
