Jag's Steak & Seafood Restaurant Review: This steakhouse and piano bar in Cincinnati's northern ’burbs is the place where area business people take clients and friends for dinner and drinks. It's a see-and-be-seen spot, but in a non-pretentious way. It aims to be comfortable and urbane rather than imposing and clubby. There are fireplaces in each of the six dining rooms, plus fire pits on the patios. Patrons can have a seat around a majestic marble and mahogany piano bar that has live music and a wide selection of craft drinks and beers. Greenery, artwork and other distinctive design elements give each room an inviting air. Dishes range from organic salmon to chicken Marsala to duck with cherry demi-glace. Also on offer are a variety of pastas and a raw bar that serves sushi. However, we suggest you splurge on one of the Prime steak specialties, particularly the signature porterhouse, flavorful bone-in filet or tender Japanese Kobe beef. The black truffle filet is a morel-crusted, 10-ounce number topped with a mushroom compound butter, shaved truffles and Madeira-morel reduction, and served with wild mushroom risotto and steamed asparagus. Save room for rich chocolate mousse cake or salted caramel chocolate almond gelato.
