Jaleo Restaurant Review: Like its sister Jaleos, the Crystal City location draws diners with its all-Spanish tapas, recipes honed by the careful craftsmanship of the José Andrés staff. Your choices are extensive, and if you happen by at lunchtime, you even get a special menu at a fixed price: this includes the famed patatas bravas, or spicy potatoes, and two lamb chops with rosemary. But you can also order off the menu, if you have the time and the appetite to play around with both small and larger dishes. What you cannot pass up is the fresh bread with the olive oil/garlic dipping sauce. Dinner choices are far more wide-ranging, and you could end up with Iberico ham or sea urchins with diced peppers. Happy hours and a brunch menu add extra magnetism, as does the wine shop, up a few steps from the main dining area. |
