 Jasper White's Summer Shack Restaurant Review: The fun, casual atmosphere, complete with a forty-foot statue depicting a fisherman standing guard at the front door, pays homage to New England seafood. Inside are communal picnic tables, booths in cotton candy-blue leather and a rollicking raw bar. Seafood includes scallops, shrimp, clams and oysters, but also some nice surprises like cod cakes and bacon-wrapped monkfish. Wood-grilled specials are listed on the blackboard, which changes daily. We like the summertime clambakes complete with lobster, mussels, clams, corn, potatoes, egg and chourico. Fried chicken, meatloaf and a grilled rib-eye are also available. Other locations. |
