JD's Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review: This longstanding beach restaurant and lounge offers sandwiches, salads, seafood and pasta. Meat-eaters will also always have the option of "Grandma's Recipe" meatloaf, topped with homey gravy, or a five-ounce sirloin, cut in-house. But this is a place where you want to strongly consider the grouper (grilled, fried, broiled or blackened), if in season. There are several different shrimp entrées as well as oysters, clams, scallops and crab. Also very popular with locals is the all-you-can-eat daily fish fry. The beach basket lunch is a take-away option that comes with several choices for easy transport to the Gulf of Mexico beaches beckoning from across the street. |
