| With its dark interior and splashes of color, Jinsei is an intimate jewel box of a restaurant. The signature sushi roll is Kadoma tuna, pleasing to both the palate and the eye. The eponymous special roll is all silky texture with yellowtail, tuna and avocado---until the taste buds are shocked with a sliver of jalapeño. Crunchy tempura crawfish composes the Creole roll, anointed with spicy mayo and cucumber. River Rock Kobe beef is presented raw to sizzle on hot rocks nestled in salt. A nod to the South is a fried green tomato katsu, and tempura green beans are a popular side. There is a nice selection of wine and saké or you might try the cucumber mojito. |
