THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Jockey Club Restaurant Review:
For many years, the Jockey Club was the place where political and social Washington met. The clubby dining room opened on the eve of John F. Kennedy's inauguration and was a favorite of both Democratic doyenne Pamela Harriman and Republican First Lady Nancy Reagan, whose favorite chicken salad is still on the menu. Since the departure of longtime chef Hidemasa Yamamoto, however, the food has been in serious decline, although it's still a favorite lunch spot for Georgetown matrons. Dinner means traditional fare like New York steaks, crab cakes, Dover sole and rack of lamb.
