THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Joe's Crab Shack Restaurant Review:

Part of a national chain, this is the only Cleveland location, and it’s perfectly situated on the Cuyahoga River in the Flats. Reminiscent of an authentic New England fish house on the outside, the inside is roomy enough that the tables are set fairly far apart. Otherwise, it’s crammed with stuff like plastic fish, large-scale beer cap replicas and fishing paraphernalia. Rock oldies play loudly and occasionally the waitstaff does a line dance around the place, inside and out. The menu contains many combinations of crab and shrimp prepared in the usual fashion, and combinations of steak or chicken along with crab and/or shrimp. We tried the crab cake sandwich, the cedar-plank salmon (loin-cut salmon with a ginger glaze) and the broiled shrimp platter (crab-stuffed shrimp, scampi and a grilled shrimp skewer), all of which were surprisingly good. Portions are large. Also available are gumbo, New England clam chowder, snow crab pasta Alfredo and 20 specialty drinks combining tropical fruit juices with or without liquor. Service is uneven and the servers seem overworked, but they also try hard to be friendly.
