Joey K's Restaurant Review: Joey K’s is that little neighborhood joint that never changes, and that’s just the way the locals like it. For some New Orleanians, the place evokes the days when many a corner was occupied by the same kind of low-priced, family-style restaurant. There’s nothing exotic on the menu: chicken-fried steak, spaghetti and meatballs, jambalaya, and a fried soft-shell crab dinner. All-you-can-eat catfish offered nightly costs a paltry $13.95, and for dessert, the blackberry cobbler à la mode is legendary in these parts. The wine list consists of ten selections. Service is friendly and efficient. The bar is compact and lively, offering a great seat to catch a Saints game and do some very interesting people-watching.
