 There aren’t many places in town where you can watch the game, drink a beer, and eat a really good steak. John Q’s is that place and, since 1979, it has remained a favorite with Cleveland sports aficionados. Located at Public Square, the steakhouse serves generous portions and old favorites, such as a 14-ounce Delmonico, fork tender lamp chops and grilled fresh Atlantic salmon. Sides are steakhouse-traditional and include broccoli au gratin, fresh asparagus, potatoes done a number of ways and creamed spinach. For dessert, John Q’s serves up a tollhouse pie as well as rich chocolate mousse. Among the good selection of California wines, many are offered by the glass, and there’s a smattering of vinos from around the world.
