THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Joia Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review:
Marco Betti, owner of Antica Posta, offers American cuisine with a Tuscan flair. The idea, according to Betti, is to "offer great food at reasonable prices" with a lounge and DJ music for music and dancing later in the evenings on weekends. The prices strike us as fairly high ($12 burger; $19 braised short rib) for this sort of comfort fare. The best thing on the menu may well be the house-cured finocchiona salami, and this is one of the best we've ever tasted. We also suggest the soup of the day the day; on our visit, it was a silky-textured, creamy (but cream-free) mushroom soup. The panna cotta for dessert is properly classical, not over-embellished with whipped cream and garnishes.
