Joseph Tambellini Restaurant Restaurant Review: Chef Joseph Tambellini brings the flavors he loved growing up to diners at his namesake eatery. The cozy establishment, adorned with starched linen and sophisticated tabletops, extends hospitality, comfort and good food, all in generous portions. Fine dining tables fill two floors. A top room --- furnished with leather upholstery and marble-inlaid tables --- accommodates private parties. The menu consists of classic Italian dishes of fish, steaks, signature homemade fresh pastas, chicken and veal. But the chef frequently adds personal touches, creating such exciting dishes as veal chop, shrimp in various preparations and chicken Romano. Each main course comes with a salad of the day and a pasta course. A classic Pecan Ball stars on the dessert list, alongside the tiramisu. U.S. and Italian labels dominate the wine list.
