Kabuki Japanese Restaurant Restaurant Review: Kabuki is a chain of Japanese restaurants with a menu of classic dishes, a range of saké cocktails, a well-chosen wine list, fresh and creative sushi and a lively, modern vibe. This location at Huntington’s Bella Terra Mall is situated right across from the movie theater, making it a good place for a pre- or post-film snack or meal. Corporate chef Masa Kurihara oversees the menu of hot and cold appetizers, salads, noodles, bento boxes, sushi and sashimi, signature entrées, massive family-style multi-entrée "boats," seasonal specials and desserts. We enjoy starting with spicy and salty garlic edamame and a cold Japanese brew. Or try the crisp yet tender fried calamari with a tangy garlic ponzu sauce. We also suggest the sea bass with its seared and smoky exterior, succulent meat and pungent saké soy sauce. Kids' meals have grown-up tastes, as in the slightly spicy bone-in barbecue beef ribs with white rice and green salad. Both kids and adults enjoy the apple tart roll, banana tempura and the dark chocolate hazelnut torte for dessert. |
