Kahunaville Restaurant Review: You’ll feel like you’re on a tropical island wherever you dine, whether in the Party Bar, the Oasis Dining Room or on the patio, facing the pool. The expansive menu features American cuisine with Mediterranean, Caribbean and Asian influences. Among breakfast favorites are Belgian waffles soaked in custard and topped with whipped cream, Mandarin oranges and strawberries. For lunch, we like the breast of chicken sandwich with piña colada sauce, sliced red onions and tomatoes, and the "skinny dip" --- roasted top round of beef under mozzarella and provolone cheeses on a toasted baguette. For dinner, try the stir-fry prepared in three styles --- hibachi, teriyaki and firecracker cashew with options of shrimp, steak, chicken or vegetable --- and the creamy crab bisque. The Lil Surfer menu (for kids 12 and under) offers chicken fingers, mac ‘n’ cheese, hot dogs and cheeseburgers. If you have room for dessert, consider sharing the King Kahuna sundae, a 32-ounce chocolate-infused frozen mug filled with chocolate-dipped bananas, vanilla and chocolate ice cream, toasted pecans and coconut topped with whipped cream.
