THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kahunaville Restaurant Review: This is one of the restaurants to set up shop in the new International Plaza Shopping Center, an upscale shopping Mecca near Tampa International Airport. The chefs here were trained by Alfonso Contrisciani, certified master chef and captain of the U.S. Culinary Olympics team. The menu mixes American entrées with Caribbean, Asian and Southwestern touches. The Island sampler features lobster fritters, jerk chicken, crab dumplings, spring rolls and coconut shrimp. Other choices include salmon with basmati rice, potato-crusted tuna, Hawaiian pork tenderloin, teriyaki-ginger flank steak and a selection of sandwiches and salads. Try the tequila-lime haddock filet, marinated in, of course, tequila and lime, and served with a tropical fruit salsa and Southwestern beans and rice. Desserts also are creative and generously portioned.
