Kalaheo Coffee Co. & Cafe Restaurant Review: This friendly coffee shop and café offers a charming ambience. Big cinnamon rolls with a steaming mug of Hawaii-grown java --- or any other drink from the espresso machine --- are a good way to start the day, or try the waffles and many varieties of omelets. Hefty sandwiches --- served cold or grilled --- and salads comprise the lunch menu. Dinner entrées include innovative treatments of ribs, steak and fresh fish, along with eggplant Parmesan, burgers, hot sandwiches, salads and a number of vegetarian choices. The seafood wrap and Thai veggie curry are good picks. This café is conveniently located for a stop while out sightseeing, and its good food and pleasant service make it popular with locals, too.
