THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Kanji Sushi Restaurant & Sake Bar Restaurant Review:

Grab a traditional table opposite the sushi bar, or cozy up in Japanese style at the lowered tables alongside the bar. Kanji’s cuisine is defined as Japanese fusion, blending a mix of French and Italian influences, which can be discovered through the variety of spices and aromas. Crab, pepper tuna or sashimi salads are a great way to start any meal, or they’d make for a satisfying snack on their own. The pièce-de-résistance, however, are the creative signature dishes, such as the popular crazy tuna roll built with spicy crunchy tuna, avocado, seared pepper tuna steak, fried leeks, wasabi mayo and cilantro sauce. Or go for the sushi tortilla, a combination of sushi, salmon, mashed avocado, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño, grape tomato, eel sauce and wasabi mayo. Servers are knowledgeable and happy to suggest one of the many sakés to pair with your meal. There’s a steady flow of the younger set most evenings; weekends are especially busy, with many making a stop at the bar before heading out for bar-hopping in the area. Then again, some simply stay put and listen to the DJ on hand.
