Keys is still the place to go for breakfast (served all day), but at this downtown location, we like that you now can order a Bloody Mary, if you’re so inclined, to go along with one of those fat omelets stuffed with ham, bacon, Italian sausage and cheese. Unlike the other Keys locations, this spot also offers grilled cheese sandwiches and a nice selection of vegan entrées---from a veggie burger or stir-fry to hot veggies piled atop grilled bread with cheese and a scattering of sunflower seeds. The retro feel of the Foshay Tower seems fitting for this comfort food haven as well. Maybe that’s why, even with an updated menu, we still find ourselves leaning towards the plate-size pancakes, a hot turkey sandwich or an afternoon coffee break that includes a humongous slice of carrot cake.
