Khan Toke Thai House Restaurant Review

: Diners enter this candlelit labyrinth of dining rooms in stocking feet as they are asked to check shoes at the door. The opulent, romantically lit dining room is lushly appointed with thick carpeting and elegant wood carvings. Guests sit at traditional tables, or on the floor surrounded by cushions, and some floor seating includes wells, allowing legs to dangle comfortably. Choice appetizers include a green-papaya salad laced with fresh chilies and a spicy squid salad shot with mint. Khan Toke's curries (red, green or yellow) infuse vegetables or meats (chicken, prawns and beef) with fragrant, layered flavors. The wine list holds up to the spicy food.
