THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The best Japanese restaurant in Hawaii, Kincha invites diners into a setting like a simple Japanese inn, complete with rocks brought from Mount Fuji. A stream flows through the restaurant, and there are wooden bridges made in the traditional Japanese manner---without nails. Kincha also has a sushi bar and a tempura bar and great as sitting at the tempura bar can be, we'd recommend the day's kaiseki dinner to experience traditional Japanese dishes in a nine-course meal. It's $115 a person, but nothing comes cheap at Kincha. There's also the option of the bento box utage dinner, which rings in at around $50, or you can order from the menu. There's a wine list, but really---stick with the regional sakés
