Kornblatt's Delicatessen Restaurant Review: There was a time in Portland when Kornblatt’s was pretty much the only place to go for authentic, shipped-from-New York corned beef, pastrami, lox and salami. That time has thankfully passed, but this is still a fun place for a typical New York deli experience. The menu offers chopped liver, blintzes, kugel, cabbage borscht and other authentic kosher fare including a pot roast served with latkes. Breakfasts are enormous, and the bagels come in an immense variety of flavors. Lunches are satisfying as well; the Reuben sandwich is topnotch. To drink, try a local microbrew or a retro soda pop. |
