| La Brasa offers fair-market prices enabling diners to eat bountifully from among the Latino offerings. Start with the pupusas (a choice of cheese alone, or cheese-bean fillings) and a plateful of the crispy chicken taquitos served with pico de gallo. The entrée choices are too numerous for the average person to make a wise choice---chances are you’ll order three different dishes and have some take-home for another time. Best bets are the yuca con chicharon (another appetizer, but copious enough to feed two) and the chicken burrito, an overstuffed flour tortilla with a peppery shredded chicken filling. Never leave here without an order of the tres leches cake, a moist sponge cake sweetened with sugar and three different milks. |
