Executive chef Robert Greault’s Senate-side French restaurant is certainly the best restaurant on Capitol Hill and one of the best dining values in the city. Greault was one of the early super-star chefs in the city’s most expensive restaurants, and here he prepares food that is no less sublime---maybe even more so---at reasonable prices. Located inside a sterile modern office building, the dining room is crisp and handsome and the service is friendly but correct. The menu changes daily, but be on the lookout for the terrine of foie gras, crayfish gratin, Louisiana shrimp Creole, and a stew of baby lamb shanks. Friday’s special is bouillabaisse, and it’s worth a special trip.
