| Past the wrought iron gate and bubbling fountain, discover the humble door of this small Sicilian oasis. Chef and owner Mario Fuenzalida welcomes you into what might be an expansion of his home, complete with family photos, antique library tables and fresh flowers. The largest of the three dining rooms features a small piano, which is often in use. From the antipasti menu, enjoy fresh salads, simple bruschetta and squid marinated in pesto sauce. Pastas range from tortellini and ravioli to fettuccine, all brimming with meat and vegetables. Risottos are tender and creamy, made with arborio rice. Meats feature traditional Sicilian cooking techniques, such as lamb tenderloin with fig and Marsala sauce. The wine list is crafted to showcase the food, and the staff is knowledgeable with pairings. There are frequent specials depending on the season, such as lemon risotto and carrot soup. The dessert tray features a classic tiramisu and hand-painted marzipan with accents of cinnamon and cloves. |
