La Medusa Restaurant Review

: This Sicilian charmer lures people from around the city with its small dining room and comfortable neighborhood vibe. The menu focuses on bold, earthy Italian fare featuring local organic ingredients as well as imported products. Thin-crust pizzas have creative topping combinations such as butternut squash, Gorgonzola, grilled onions and pine nuts; or chanterelles paired with pomegranate seeds and grated Parmesan. For less adventurous diners (kids are always welcome here), there's a classic pepperoni and fresh mozzarella pie. Pastas may include house-made pappardelle with braised duck leg and figs, or orecchiette with pesto and watercress. Entrées range from halibut with artichokes and fava beans to pan-roasted duck breast with baby turnips, and slow-roasted pork shoulder with tomato jam. Servers will review the daily fish dish. Finish your meal by enjoying a classic, creamy cannoli. A small but thoughtful wine list complements the fare.
