THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Reserve Restaurant Review: Barbara Bush probably would be right at home here, and for that matter so would Barbara Billingsley, circa 1958. Between the Omni Hotel's lodge and chintz décor and the French twists in the menu, the look and feel is from the pearl and sweater-set era-and, in case you hadn't noticed, pearls and sweater sets are back and so why not dessert soufflés, caviar and quail egg salads? Tableside carving adds elegance to the experience of rack of lamb and other succulent cuts, not that the meat needs help. The food is utterly top drawer. From the first nibble, perhaps foie gras or fresh sourdough bread, the quality of food inspires the best manners, the wittiest mots and a definite sense of nostalgia.
