THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Vino Cava Restaurant Review: Chef Antony Valoppi is an ambitious, imaginative young man who has created an impressive dining spot that equally balances food and wine. His wine bar features a varied wine list (with many bargains) paired with his trademark rustic Italian fare. For something different, try the osso buco with morel mushroom polenta or the braised saddle of rabbit. Valoppi also offers more pedestrian dishes, such as penne tossed with proscuitto, peas and heavy cream. The kitchen is often slow, since the chef runs the show practically single-handedly, so be prepared to sit back and enjoy your glass of vino. The retail wine shop opens at 3 p.m.
