Larry's, named after artist Larry Bell who once lived nearby, fits right in with the funky Venice scene. This gastropub by the beach comes from chef Brendan Collins and operations manager Carolos Tomazos of Waterloo & City. There’s a large outdoor patio with a fireplace as well as indoor seating where guests can take a gander at the 26 beer taps behind the bar. Collins designed the menu, which is aptly executed by chef Joe Cook. Diners can choose from charcuterie, pizzas and other specialties such as the interesting barbecued eel and foie gras terrine, halibut and scallop ceviche with nanjim dressing, and braised Colorado lamb shank. All dishes are priced under $15. End your meal with the sticky toffee pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. The long list of beers offers several Belgian selections, and there are also mixed drinks made with beer and wine. Reservations are not currently accepted.
