| Las Casuelas draws a crowd of locals because it combines familiarity with affordability, and the tourists go with the tide. It’s relaxed and noisy, run by a local culinary dynasty: the Delgado family. They have been operating Mexican restaurants in the Coachella Valley for three generations, and the competing siblings all know how to keep the fun alive. The Mexican standards, from quesadillas to chimichangas and enchiladas, are all well represented, and the sizzle of fajitas fills the air. The Southwest barbecue chicken salad is a warm weather favorite. |
