THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Last Mango Restaurant Review: A pretender to the Caribbean theme, this Gaithersburg restaurant nonetheless puts on a good show, and some of it really does suggest warm waters, albeit with a ladies' tearoom patina. Aromas of wood-roasted meats, steaks, pork and fish pervade the restaurant, but hefty sandwiches and he-man salads also make up the menu. Look, too, for tropical-ized cocktails. Doubtless this themed restaurant built on the premise that Blackbeard the Pirate loved mangoes and carried them on board his sea journeys will become a suburban outpost of big city fun: there's entertainment often, and the emphasis is on eat, drink and be merry while you are young enough to do so. Crowds include moms with strollers, grannies with friends, and twenty-something men playing macho.
