 Le Central Restaurant Review: With its functional, no-frills décor and menu scrawled on the mirror, Le Central exists as an homage to the French bistro. The classic dishes range from onion soup gratinée and pâté de campagne to boudin noir with pomme frites and day boat scallops Provençale. The specialty of the house is traditional cassoulet that, the restaurant boasts, has been on the menu since the place opened in 1974. Seasonal fruit with crème anglaise or mousse au chocolat are two good choices to end the meal. Happy hour in the bar Monday through Friday offers $5 drinks and wines by glass, and bites such as a crab cake beurre blanc. |
