THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Le Gaulois Restaurant Review:
We enjoy the food most here during winter, when you can settle into such classic dishes as pot-au-feu, the French family dinner of boiled beef and vegetables; bouillabaisse; cassoulet; and confit of duck served on a bed of lentils. Sometimes the kitchen offers low-cal cuisine minceur dishes, which---surprise, surprise---don’t measure up in taste to everything else on the menu. We were disappointed by wilted lettuce in our salad. The wine list shows an effort to search out lesser French wines of good quality and good value. In its favor, the garden patio resembles a cloistered European courtyard and makes a charming setting for alfresco meals.
