 This lunchtime eatery is the more casual side of Bistro Laurent, but you can still expect the same classic style coming from the kitchen. This is the place to go for a taste of France, whether in dishes as straightforward as a croque monsieur with authentic pommes frites or sautéed rabbit in mustard sauce. Other favorites include a crispy tart with house-smoked salmon and drizzled crème fraîche, autumn squash ravioli in sage brown butter, and the flatiron steak with a silky peppercorn sauce. Seasonal soups might include French onion or a creamy bowl of local wild mushroom, and fresh fruit always informs the choice of desserts, especially when it comes to the house-made ice creams and sorbets. The wine list is the same as Bistro Laurent’s, with a good range of both local and imported labels. Service is also similar---attentive and deliberate---so relax and enjoy, whether you’re outside on the covered patio or inside on a chilly afternoon.
